Aboriginal Relations

Many of SITE’s operating areas are located on or in close proximity to traditional Aboriginal lands across Canada and the United States. As such, it is a top priority of SITE to establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with local Aboriginal leaders and communities.

A key component of SITE’s work ethic and overall mission is to evaluate and consider the needs, goals and outcomes of all stakeholders. Establishing an equitable dialogue between all parties allows for an open forum where relevant issues and concerns can be discussed in a fair and respectful manner.

We are proud to have past and current relationships with FT. McKay First Nations, Heart Lake First Nations, Woodland Cree First Nations, Pasqua First Nations; and, Battlefords Agencies Tribal Chiefs.  We continue to work on establishing additional relations with Aboriginal partners throughout British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Through understanding, respect and cooperation we strive to maintain strong relationships and enhance the opportunities for participation in all of our projects.
