In the Spring of 2013, SITE worked in conjunction with affiliate companies to complete the Hanna Region Transmission Development (HRTD) project.
This project consisted of constructing approximately 245 km of new transmission line; decommissioning and salvaging approximately 190 km of existing 144 kV and 72 kV transmission line; constructing six new substations; one Static Vars Compensator (SVC) and modifying 15 existing substations.
SITE's scope of work included the following:
- Right of way construction work
- Matting and mowing services
- Installation of fencing and gates
- Surveying services
- Building of pipeline crossings.
